About this tool

AI Model Rankings shows top models across six capability dimensions: coding, general (free), image generation, video generation, AI search, and music generation. Rankings synthesize human preference voting and standardized benchmark scores.

Each category lists its top 10 by default — expand to see more. Data refreshes weekly.

How to use

Browse by capability

  1. Click a category chip at the top (coding / general / image / video / search / music).
  2. Top 3 in each category are flagged with 🥇🥈🥉.
  3. If a model has a numeric score, it's shown; otherwise the rank itself is the data (rendered as a bar).

Frequently asked questions
Where do the rankings come from?

Composite of blind pairwise human preference votes (LMArena) and standardized benchmark scores (Artificial Analysis), weighted toward the human preference signal. Refreshed weekly.

Can I click into a model for details?

Not in v1.5 — the rankings page is intentionally a quick scan. For per-model details, check the vendor's own page.

Why these six categories?

They cover the most common ways people pick AI tools today: writing code, general chat, generating images/video, searching the web, and making music. Other capabilities (e.g. spreadsheets, robotics) may appear in future versions.
